Faran Pictures

Some of you may remember that we tried to place Faran with a rescue and it all went wrong because we found out the guy sent the rescue horses to slaughter.  Luckily we managed to get him back safely.  It took me a while to post about it and now I'm ready to post pictures (which I had forgotten about).  So check out gorgeous Faran!

First we got him all prettied up and then went to load him on the trailer..... and realized something had completely chewed up the wiring.  Fabulous.  So I tied him to the round pen and you can see what a good boy he was in the above pictures, standing all relaxed and patient while we fixed the wiring.

He eventually got bored and started yawning...

Then he got even more restless....  nice neck huh?

Then he tried pawing!!!  I've never seen him paw.  He only did it once.  Just picked it up and put it back down.  Such a cute, naughty boy.  :D

His tail sure is pretty!  It took us an hour to brush it out!  It's so thick and curly.

Then we took him to the supposed rescue and luckily we accidentally put him in the neighbor's round pen (they shared a driveway).  You can read the rest of the details in this earlier post http://rdxhorses.blogspot.com/2013/08/a-few-pictures-and-update-on-rehoming.html.

Here are the pictures of him in the round pen at the neighbor's (to the supposed rescue) place.

He is so GORGEOUS!  Look at that neck.  Can you believe how tiny he makes that Paint look?  The Paint is on slightly lower ground though I think.  The neighbor is a trainer.  Thankfully a kind trainer who called us back so we could come back and get him.  We got lucky.

I still think he's absolutely gorgeous!  Too bad he doesn't have the personality to go with his looks lol.  He's a sweet horse, but too skittish and sensitive for me.  Anyway one reason I'm posting is because I have a pretty good lead on a new home, but I don't want to go into details until it's a sure thing.  Just cross you fingers and pray for us if you're the praying type please.  :D

  3. Keeping my fingers crossed. It does seem like things in the horse world are improving. More people are in a position to own horses.
