Do you remember?

First a quick update on Chrome.  He is doing well, not limping anymore.  My silence hasn't been because of him.  I've just been VERY busy with the newest member of the family.  You have to meet him!  I just did a post on my other blog here!

Now how many of you remember the Friesian colt that belongs to my best friend who stayed at my house for a while last year?  Here are a couple of pictures to jog your memory.

And my favorite below.

You can see the post here (http://rdxhorses.blogspot.com/2015/08/pure-friesian-colt-on-my-property-what.html). He was thin because he was going through a growth spurt.  It also turns out he had teeth problems, but she got him all fixed back up.  Now check out what he looks like a year later at three years old......

He is GORGEOUS!!!

I hadn't seen him in a long time and was blown away by how much he's grown and filled out.

For comparison...

Wow, what a difference a year makes!

I also got to sit on him!!!!

I was only the second person to ever get on him and this was only his forth or fifth time with someone on his back.  She's only been on him a few times for a couple of minutes at a time.  She's going to let him grow until he's four before she really starts him under saddle.  I had so much fun last weekend playing with him and his dam (pictures of her tomorrow).

  1. 2, 3 years ago there was a Friesian and its TB friend across the street from us. The Friesian would attack my mare through the stall bars.

They left for another barn, to another watershed.

Last week I looked up on the horizon and saw two big black horses looking down at us at my horse. At 200 meters away I knew immediately they are Meike and Lola, the Friesian and TB. The lovely wasp-waisted Meike (Friesian) was under saddle on our street yesterday. They are intensely curious about the new grey horse across the street from them (Mag).

I took photos of them on the horizon looking down at us, so gorgeous. Mag was like, Hmmmmmmm!
