Chrome shortly after birth.
I was reading Kristen's blog (Sweet Horse's Breath - http://sweethorsesbreath.blogspot.com/) about her 400th post and it made me wonder how many I have done so I looked it up. Six hundred and thirty seven posts counting this one! Then I remembered that last month made four years since I started the blog and since I brought Chrome home! I don't know why I've never mentioned or celebrated our posts or anniversaries, so I guess I will now. :D So to celebrate I'm going to show you how much Chrome has changed in four years, since I know we all love pictures!

And some more random baby pictures because he was adorable!
Chrome and his mom Beebee.
Chrome on the day he was born.
The last one he is sleeping with his mouth open! So cute! Now it's time for me to get some sleep. Night!
He is so well put together and good looking!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo, what color is he, really? It looks like he changes color with the light you shoot him in. Is he grey? (I would assume he will end up grey, given his mom was a flea-bitten grey and Arabs have a tendency to become more grey as they age). In some of the pics he looks more brown.
ReplyDeleteHis pic when he was a weanling is identical to Cali's stance at the age of three months. Including the neck arch and spiky hair.
He's a fancy boy for sure!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogversary!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys!!
ReplyDeleteKaren, he is going gray and will probably end up looking like his mom. His color changes constantly! It changes with the light, with each season and every year. He started out almost black, then bay and at times he's brown. He's getting lighter and lighter every year. In the summer he bleaches out really really bad so he looks bay. It's a lot of fun watching his colors change. :D I have friends who call him the horse of many colors. I think he looks handsome no matter what color he is.
Congrats on 600 posts!
ReplyDeleteIt has been so great to watch Chrome grow and mature through your blog! Looking forward to many more posts :)
ReplyDeleteJust Adorable!! Wish I had baby pics of Pippi. :(
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!
ReplyDeleteEmme, I wish you had baby pictures of Pippi too because I would totally want to see them! I was so excited when Chrome's breeder handed me the envelope with his registration papers and health records and said there was a disc with baby pictures inside. :D I couldn't wait to get home to see them even though I know at five months he was still technically a baby. Newborn pictures are just hard to beat.
Oh SQUEEEE! The Baby Chrome.
ReplyDeleteMango Momma
That's exactly how I feel when I look at his baby pictures!!! :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat trip down memory lane. He went from cute to gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks Judi! One of the best compliments ever. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your blog anniversary. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that you posted all of these pictures! I think I've been reading your blog from nearly the beginning. It's been fun to watch Chrome grow and follow your training progress. :)
cheers,
Mary
Thanks Mary! I think you have been following since close to the beginning. You were one of my first readers who commented consistently. Thanks for sticking with us for so long. :)
