Smartphone Camera!

I don't have a camera right now (other than GoPro and my little point and shoot), but I've been borrowing my parent's camera.  Trading back and forth gets annoying, because it's never there when one of us is in a hurry to capture something... so I mentioned to them that I was thinking about buying a used smartphone and using the camera on it without activating a plan.  Dad mentioned he had a Samsung smart phone just sitting at his office that was his old work phone that he no longer uses, so he gave it to me!!  Check out the pictures I took with it tonight!!

So now I can give their camera back and only borrow it for the rare occasion I need zoom (like a horse show or macro shots).  I also won't have to borrow hubby's work phone all the time.  :D  It's probably really dumb how excited I am, but I so am!!

  1. I'm always impressed by the quality of some of these smart phone cameras. I'm glad something more convenient worked out for you.

    1. Me too! It's crazy how good some of them are. :D I'm glad to have something that I don't have to feel guilty for robbing someone else of having a camera lol.

    1. Hehe good decision!! I still have film cameras too! As well as undeveloped film! Eek! I probably won't even be able to find a place to develop them soon if I wait too long.

  3. Nearly all of my photos are from my Samsung Galaxy phone. It does a fabulous job. Makes life much easier than dealing with DSLR + lenses + editing programs/uploading photos.

    1. I was so surprised to find that out about your pictures! Makes me even happier I have one now. The only thing I miss on it is zoom lol. It definitely is a lot easier than dealing with all the settings on a camera. I still have to upload mine though because there is no service on the phone. I just plug it into my computer and use it like a camera. It works!
