Training Video!

I'll let the video speak for itself . . . and there's a surprise (not a good one) in the video. Chrome kind of upset me as you will see, but we worked through it. Sorry the video is ten minutes long. I hope you all can watch it. I'll write more about the video tomorrow so if you can't watch it check back tomorrow for the write up.

  1. Bad Chrome! I was nervous when you were behind him. I am happy to learn that he pulled his punch. Must have just wanted to let you know he was grouchy. He has so many behaviors! Of course the smile is the cutest.

  2. He's so good for you. Hmmm, no wonder he's putting on the putting on the pounds with all those treats. ;)

    Love the ending!

  4. My dogs were hearing all those clicks while I was watching the video and wondering what kind of animal was making that noise. I haven't used clicker training with them yet. I remember asking the breeder about the best place to stand when washing a horse's tail, and she told me to stand right up against the rump because if they do kick, it's a shorter distance and they have less power. Sometimes the kicks out to the side are more violent. I don't know how true that is. The only time I've been kicked was either when I was standing at the mid-section and the horse kicked a fly away and when I was working on the feet and someone spooked my horse so it jumped. Neither case was intentional. I like how you train right by the road so he gets used to cars.

  5. Terrific video. It really show how much he has learned, and it really demonstrates the benefits of using clicker. He looks great, too.
