Hobby Horse Blog Hop 10

Here are the rules: Answer one or all of the prompts. Link back to Living a Dream's post. Visit other blogs. And don't forget to ask a question of everyone else!

Due to the new evil Blogger layout Dreaming lost her scheduled blog hop, so we're doing it a little differently this time.  She left us with a prompt 'I really hate it when...' and we're allowed to do whatever we like with this hop.  :D  So here goes . . .

I really hate it when . . . well . . . after the day I had at work today . . . there are a lot of things I hate.  Things like people who are passive aggressive and people who don't keep their word.  Sometimes I wish I could just give up on the human race (including the creepy guy who gave me his card and told me to call him because his wife is out of town a lot WTF!!!!) and just spend my time with my family and pets, because they always have my back and they make me happy.  :)

Now my question (I'm gonna cheat and use a popular one) . . .

What do you want to be when you grow up (yes even the grown ups!)?

  1. I want to be retired! Ha!
If I had to do it all over, I would chose something with animals, for sure.

  2. I'm so glad you joined the hop.
Oh, and you have hit a sore spot on the head. I worked with a few of those folks.... hated it. However, no one ever gave me his card - how tacky!

Great question. I often wonder when/if I'll ever feel like I'm grown up!
So... what would I like to do? I'd love to do lots of things, but not for long. I'd love to work on a cruise ship... maybe for 3 cruises. I'd love to work for a large tech company like Apple or Google for a few months. I'd love to be one of those 'important' people yakking about important stuff on their blue tooth headsets as they rush through the airport.... so I'd want to have to go to some places... but I certainly wouldn't want to travel for long. I'd love to work as a tour guide and take a group to Australia and New Zealand. I might enjoy owning a little store... but again, not for long! Of course, almost every one of these would require some training, and although I would love to go back to college, I don't think I have time, though - so I would somehow have to acquire the knowledge. But... actually, at the moment I can't complain about my life. It's pretty nice!

  3. Ewwww, about the creepy guy who gave you his card! I find animals are often much better company than people. They are just so simple and genuine.

When I grow up I want to be a housewife/barn babe. I'm tired of working. I want to stay home and keep my house clean and organized, and cook, and do volunteer work, and knit, and enjoy my home instead of always feeling like I'm too tired to clean it. I want to feed lunch to the horses, and do barn chores, and go riding with friends when the weather is at its best at any time and on any week day, instead of always being limited to Saturdays when it seems to always be rainy, snowy, or windy. Yep, I want to be a housewife. Unfortunately, it doesn't pay enough to buy hay.

  4. Ha I like Allison's idea!! Retired would be great lol.

I actually still don't really know what I want to be when I grow up. One thing that I would love to do is train dogs for a living, but I'm not very good at training the humans and that's the biggest part of the job. I could go a different (and more fun!) route and train police dogs, service dogs, etc., but there isn't really anywhere around here to get my foot in the door . . . so I don't know for sure.

My biggest thing is I get bored really quickly. It's like for a year I'm good with a job and then I'm totally bored with it and ready to move on to something different lol. :D

  5. Oh and I totally forgot my other dream job! I would LOVE to be the person who gets the video footage for nature shows like Big Cat Diary (one of my all time favorite shows)!! That would allow me to travel, see amazing animals and would be really educational. That's another thing that would be totally awesome, but I would have no idea how to go about getting started in it. Besides I would never be home and I would miss my family and critters too much. :)
